Hello, I’m Tony, I actually work in this field. My main area is more along the lines of Water Quality.
Typically, my experience includes water sampling, some lab analysis, and field work.
One of my jobs, I worked as a Lab Tech in a Wastewater Reclaimation Facility. Basically, I would test the treated sewage (or effluent) as well as Raw (for comparision) and we make sure it falls within the certain limits to be discharged into the enviornment (typically it’s 5ppms for Total Suspended Solids max) and we test for Fecal as well, typically it’s been a non-detect.
