Figured I’d share with you AGAIN, this is an amazing device. I almost find it hard to believe you can make PURE water out of ANYTHING, dirty water, a 100 gallon drum of URINE, etc. LOL
That Steven Colbert is a riot! Imagine if this device caught on! Will even help staff of diseases!!
The second LARGEST body of freshwater in the continental USA (considered the LARGEST in the Southern United States.) I did some water quality testing in the northern area of Lake Okeechobee. The reason, was for the Watershed area leading from the Kissimmee River towards Lake Okeechobee. Tests are being done on the level of chemicals, mainly from farmlands and other run off into the lake. Apparently the bottom of the lake (around the north end) has about 4 times the level of arsenic. The toxic mud was removed from the Lake. The level of toxins were so high, it made it difficult to dispose of EVEN on land somewhere.
Here are some photos of my field activities at and around Lake Okeechobee.

I watched the Colbert Report and saw in awe Dean Kamen and his Water Purifier work it’s magic.
At the beginning of the segement, Colbert, in defiance (more than likely for comedic reasons) runs to the back restroom, turns on the water, and let’s it run during the entire segment to demonstrate how he is wasting water.
It is called a “Vapor Compression Distiller”, no filters, no membranes, no chemicals are used in this water purification process. This product was developed by Dean Kamen (the SAME inventor of the Segway. Apparently, if this put into use, this can WIPE alot of human disease, and of course alot of “Less thirsty” people.

I mean, can you imagine a device such as this?? Just stick a tube ANYWHERE, and it works it’s magic. It does not discriminate liquid types. I wonder how it works though?
This video basically describes how we are doing ourselves and environmental disservice by using BOTTLED water. Apparently, after we are done DRINKING the bottle, not everyone recycles the plastic. They also demonstrate how much PETROLEUM/ Oil it takes in the process of the beginning and end of the lifespan of bottled water.
Being a professional in the field of water quality, I find it a total waste to be bottling water, when you simply just drink it out of the TAP!! Most people don’t like tap water, apparently it taste funny or has an order. Apparently having the “fad” of carrying around a bottle in your hand as if were you depending on it makes me wonder. But, I think the attraction has to do with the packing, the fact that the water is “purified” is appealing as well. To me, there’s some sort of intolerance for something that is rather petty.
Apparently, there’s more energy wasted in producing a bottle AND the bottling water process. So in fact, we aren’t saving energy by doing this. Heck, you know how much money we could save on electricity used to RUN a bottling plant. All that fossil fuel that is?
In fact, we are taking OUT some minerals (i.e. - Floride) that are healthy to our body by taking OUT certain minerals involved in the purification process. That’s right, water you get from the tap, (Esp well water), is probably more healthier to us than bottled water (at least it has its benefits).
Bottled water does has its advantages. We did have bottled water back in the good ol’ days, remember the jugs that sat on the end of grocery stores that had water in them, and a spout you can open up on the end and it poured into your glass. I think it was used then as a handy tool to keep in the refrigerator (to keep it cool) probably the time before water dispensers were installed in refrigerator doors. It was handy for that. Also, bottled water is handy for storage purposes or during a crisis like post-hurricane/tornadic situations.
